# Changelog

> Product and integration changes that affect Rangler API and portal customers.

## 2026-09-01

* The chart period selector now presents the seven primary values: `1d`, `1w`,
  `1m`, `3m`, `ytd`, `1y`, and `all`. Previously supported values remain accepted
for existing integrations and are listed in the price-chart guide.
* A named one-day request now returns the latest available market session when the
current session has no observations yet. The response's `as_of_date` and coverage
  dates identify the session returned.

## 2026-08-31

* Added the one-day chart period. It returns roughly five-minute observations in
`format=detailed`; customers receive it only when they explicitly request
  `period=1d`.
* Added an optional hourly one-week company chart through
  `GET /v1/companies/{company_ref}/chart?period=1w&interval=hourly&format=detailed`.
* Existing one-week requests remain daily. Organizations do not need to change their
requests or response handling unless they choose a new intraday option. The default
one-year request and longer chart periods remain daily.
* Intraday responses report `coverage.frequency: "intraday"` and
`coverage.freshness: "intraday"`. Daily responses continue to report `daily` and
  `end_of_day`.

## 2026-08-29

* Added `GET /v1/market-data/etfs` for compact NGX ETF snapshots.
* Extended `GET /v1/companies/{company_ref}/chart` to accept NGX ETF tickers, keeping one chart contract across companies and listed funds.
* Linked listed funds to searchable company records and exposed available fund factsheets through company details.

## 2026-08-27

* Added `GET /v1/market-data/equities` for compact NGX price and valuation snapshots.
* Added converted dividend amounts and year-to-date dividend-yield summaries to company dividend responses.

## 2026-04-10

* Public docs were refocused around the customer-facing Rangler API and Portal.
* The docs now separate the Rangler web app from the developer platform.
* Error handling, environments, retry and duplicate-delivery guidance, and customer API reference were added explicitly.

## Deprecation Policy

* Rangler will announce customer-impacting API changes before rollout.
* Customer-visible contract changes will be documented here before they take effect.
